I think the images of Klee paintings might be from the original album cover or notes, they all seem to have that lithograph dot patterning. That may account for the fugitive color as well.
Oh that's a great point. I looked the album up on discogs, and there are pics in the gatefold. Maybe the fan site (which is impressively detailed, gotta say) just shot theirs from the original with a phone.
